Found on Pinterest Sunday

Have you heard of Pinterest? It’s my new obsession. Bookmarking by photo or video is genius! Pinterest allows you to digitally “pin” something to a corkboard online- perfect for planning a vacation, wedding, or keeping track of recipes you find on the internet. I love being able to quickly look through my boards and decide what I want to make next and then look through my friend’s boards for even more awesome ideas. My favorites on Pinterest besides sharing recipes? The DIY projects, motivational quotes, and new blogs I’ve discovered. Then I had a thought, why not share my favorites from the week with y’all? So every Sunday, check back for all sorts of fun pinned things. And don’t forget to follow me on Pinterest so I can add the cool things I see you pin here too!

I heard a husband say the other day that he’s following his wife on Pinterest for Christmas/Birthday gift ideas- so smart!

So let’s get on with it! The first “Found on Pinterest Sunday”! yay!

Recipes:

Hearty Chicken Stew with Butternut Squash and Quinoa - From Cookin’ Canuck

I cannot wait to try this! Butternut Squash is easily my favorite vegetable. Cookin’ Canuck is a blog with absolute amazing easy recipes. Thanks Pinterest for leading me to it! After perusing her site I found the most amazing Fudge recipe that I cannot wait to share here.

Stuffed Shells with Sausage and Spinach – From Inspired Taste

Stuffed Shells have always been a favorite in my family, so I can’t tell you my excitement when I found a new recipe for stuffed shells that was different than the classic cottage cheese, red sauce, parmesan I was used too. This looks easy, delicious, and great for a weekend night. I’m also so happy to have found this blog- Inspired Taste- by two professional recipe developers and food photographers that focus on easy date night recipes. yum~

Holiday Treats:

Peanut Butter Reindeer Cookies - From Baker Girl

These might be the cutest and easiest reindeer cookies I’ve run into! I make Christmas cookies as gifts every year and these are such a perfect addition! Now I just need to figure out where to find mini chocolate dipped pretzels..

North Pole Cupcakes – Kara’s Party Ideas from Jenny Cookies

Such a great idea for a holiday cupcake! Kara’s Party Ideas shares photos of readers parties. The winner this particular week – Jenny Cookies for her kid’s Gingerbread party. A couple of things not pictured that she did: Santa hat cake pops and chocolate dipped marshmallows with holiday sprinkles. This brought me back to the days when my mom would put together extravagant parties for me and my sisters.

Snowman Cake Pops - From Bakerella

A mini oreo and a half of a regular oreo from the hat, chocolate dipped sunflower seed for the nose, black confetti sprinkles for the eyes, and drawn on mouth with an edible marker. These look like a do-able holiday cake pop! Visit Bakerella for another versions that she did this year that are absolutely amazing. So cute- but whoa I don’t have the time or patience to make.

DIY Projects:

Jars with Chalkboard Paint Tops – From Wit and Whistle

This solves having to scratch out Sharpie labels or multiple pieces of masking tape. So smart and classic. Another great use for a Mason jar.

Pre-Scooped Ice Cream – From Real Simple

Why didn’t I think of this before? Pre-scoop ice cream into cupcake papers and freeze for easy cake and ice cream serving during a party.

OK- that’s all for this week! Hope you enjoyed Pinterest Sunday! If you aren’t on Pinterest, I’d totally recommend it. If you are, be sure to follow me by clicking the link on the left.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
